Trevor Tordjman – President, Founder and Artistic Director

All forms of Hip Hop, Break Dancing, Street Jazz, Tap

Trevor Tordjman began studying dance at the age of 4 in his mother’s dance studio, Confidance. Although Trevor was exposed to and trained in many forms of dance, he quickly developed a passion for Hip Hop and Breakdancing. Dedicating the majority of his free time to studying dance from a young age, he has been able to hone and develop his own unique style. Trevor began to gain exposure after being cast as a dancer in several music videos and commercials. Including works by Victoria Duffield and Shawn Desmond, and national ad campaigns for Coca-Cola and The Family Channel. Trevor landed his first major television role in 2012 when he was cast as “James” in Temple Street Production’s hit dance series, The Next Step. The much anticipated third season of The Next Step will begin filming in summer 2014. In early 2014 Trevor founded Raw Motion Dance, a full-service dance convention and in-studio workshop provider.

Lamar Johnson – All forms of Hip-Hop

Lamar Johnson, born and raised in Toronto Canada is a self taught dancer who is dedicated to building his craft and inspiring others. Growing up in a vast community of dance and arts, he developed the nickname ‘Flipz’ from his amazing back flips and tumbling abilities in his younger years. He was cast at the age of nine as ‘Little Man’ alongside Jessica Alba in the feature film “Honey”. His early accomplishments as a dancer include appearing on The Maury Show: ‘America’s Most Talented Kid Dancers’, performing in Showtime at the Apollo in New York City, winning BET’s 106 & Park’s ‘Wildin’ Out Wednesdays’, hosting Pop It! on TVO Kids, and opening for musician Chris Brown. Lamar’s increasing desire to act as well as dance, lead him to continued training at the prestigious Dean Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto. He has since appeared in the television series Covert Affairs, The Firm, Degrassi, Rookie Blue and his most recent credit, starring as West in Family Channel’s hit TV series “The Next Step”. Lamar has also appeared in such feature films as Parkdale, Liar, Cuffed and Home Again. Lamar can also be seen in national adverts such as Crush ‘Blast’, Concerned Children’s Advertisements and various on-air promotions for the Family Channel. Lamar is an honour roll student, who also enjoys playing many sports, singing, producing music and choreographing. He graduated from Wexford Collegiate School for the Performing Arts (Alumni Nina Dobrev & Fefe Dobson) where he has performed the lead roles in many of their dramatic showcases and musicals, including playing ‘Seaweed’ in the musical Hairspray. With a strong love for the craft, he plans on pursuing his dreams, all while inspiring others to pursue theirs.

Brittany Raymond – Contemporary, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Hip-Hop

Brittany Raymond has been a competitive dancer since the age of 6, with RAD Advanced 1 Certification and training in all styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, modern and musical theatre. Currently, she is a member of the Advanced Company Team at Joanne Chapman’s School of Dance and enjoys her co-teaching role at the studio. Brittany’s love for dance has taken her all across North America to numerous competitions and further nurtures her passion by working with various choreographers, such as Travis Wall, Kenny Wormald, Misha Gabriel, Nick Lazzarini, Nico Archambault, Amy Gardner and Eryn Waltman. A major highlight in her young dance career has been working with Mandy Moore and Stacey Tookey, in both group and solo performances. She has performed at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Florida, and in 2008 was accepted into the Young Apprentice Program at Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre, directed by Deborah Lundmark and Rebecca Mendoza. Currently, Brittany is starring as “Riley” in the hit television series The Next Step.

Jordan Clark – Contemporary, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Lyrical, Acro

Winner of So You Think You Can Dance Canada (Season 4)

Originally from Tottenham, Ontario, Jordan knew she wanted to become a professional dancer when she was eight years old. She started training at the age of five in Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Jazz and Acro and was teaching by the age of 12.  Shortly after winning the title of “Canada’s Favourite Dancer”, Jordan immersed herself in film and television classes. Committing to this new discipline with her dancer work ethic, it quickly paid off when she landed one of the starring roles, Giselle, in the hit Family Channel series The Next Step.  Constantly wanting to explore all areas of performance, Jordan has also found an ever strengthening singing voice which was first recognized in her breakout theatre role of “Eris” in Ross Petty’s 2014 Pantomime, The Little Mermaid. Jordan is extremely passionate about her art form, and feels very fortunate to have had all of these experiences thus far.  Other credits include Over the Rainbow, Hellcats, Frenemies, Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, Harriet the Spy, Camp Rock 2 and Cobu 3D and a campaign for Dove Canada. She has danced alongside Blake McGrath as well as with recording artists Nelly Furtado, Shawn Desman, Anjulie, Basshunter and Aleesia.  Dedicated to inspiring youth in the field of dance, she has donated her time and talent to organizations such as Youth Code, Bayview Foundation, and Ignite Change Dance Camps.

Brennan Clost – Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz & Lyrical

Brennan Clost began his performance career at a young age with a big heart for dance.  In pursuit of his dream to be a professional dancer, Brennan was driven by his intense desire to never give up.  He has acclimated himself to a highly competitive and versatile dance career.  He is experienced in diverse styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop, contemporary, and acro. He has studied at various dance studios across Southern Ontario, as well as at the National Ballet School of Canada and Springboard Danse Montreal.  A graduate of Joanne Chapman’s School of Dance, Brennan, already an accomplished dancer and a budding actor, in 2016 he graduated from the Juilliard School in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.

Brennan was a World Silver Medalist at the International Dance Organization junior soloist category in Germany in 2008, and he was named one of the Top Senior Male Dancers at The Dance Awards in New York City in 2011.  Brennan’s choreography has been showcased in The Juilliard School’s Choreographic Honours Program annually, and at elementary schools throughout New York City as a part of the PEPS Outreach Program.

Throughout the years, Brennan has been able to break into the world of acting, alongside his intense dance career.  Brennan’s current project is the Family Channel series The Next Step, on which Brennan plays one of the lead characters Daniel, now airing in it’s third season internationally.  Brennan is inspired to expand his artistry in dance as well as hone his talents as an actor.

Jennie Pappas – Contemporary, Jazz

Jennie began taking dance and figure skating lessons when she was an energetic toddler. After achieving her Gold Level in ice dance and successfully juggling these activities and school, Jennie decided to focus on dance and began training intensively at Elite Danceworx in Markham, Ontario. Her training included Russian Classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro, contemporary, lyrical, modern and partnering. Some of Jennifer’s most memorable awards include Teen Miss Dance of Canada, Top 10 Senior Dancer at The Dance Awards and Face of Fever. She was honoured to have worked behind the scenes at “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” (CTV) assisting Stacey Tookey and Mia Michaels, and she appears in Blake McGrath’s music video “Stagefright”. Jennie has danced at the Choreographer’s Ball in Toronto as well as the Capezio A.C.E. Awards in New York City. One of her favourite live performances was dancing on stage at the Sony Centre in the Gala Fundraiser for Gilda’s Club. Currently on staff at Elite Danceworx, Jennie enjoys developing choreography and teaching and continues to dance, train and take acting lessons. Currently, Jennie is starring as “Chloe” in the hit television series The Next Step.

Isaac Lupien – Contemporary, Jazz, Street Jazz, Tap

Isaac Lupien is a talented dancer, actor and choreographer from Oakville, Ontario. He began his dance training at 2 years old at his parents dance studio, Canadian Dance Company. Isaac has been featured on both stage and screen and continues to train and compete on the international circuit. Isaac is currently starring as “Eldon” on Family Channel’s hit dance series, The Next Step. As a competitive dancer, Isaac has been honored with numerous awards and titles at some of the world’s biggest competitions. He was the Bronze medalist at the 2008 IDO World Championships in Riesa, Germany, Runner-Up Teen Male Best Dancer at The 2011 Dance Awards in New York City and was the 2012 Senior VIP Winner at the Jump Dance Convention. Most recently, he was the 2013 1st Overall Senior Soloist at Showstopper American Dance Championships in Myrtle Beach. In addition to his vigorous training as a dancer, Isaac has been always been passionate about pursuing his career as a professional actor. He has appeared in various commercials for television and on the hit television series The Rick Mercer Report and Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye. Additionally, Isaac had the privilege of appearing alongside Greg Kinnear in the Universal Studio’s Film, Flash of Genius. Isaac comes from a family of performing artists and continues to train and perform as a dancer and actor. He recently graduate high school and enjoys spending time with family and friends, choreography, video editing and an array of extra-curricular activities.

Victoria – Contemporary, Jazz Funk, and Jazz

Victoria is best known for her role as Michelle in Family Channel’s hit series, The Next Step.

Victoria has been passionate about dancing since she was only 3 years old, and started attending dance competitions when she was only 6. Victoria was a member of Team Canada’s national dance team, who won a Bronze medal in 2010.

Victoria is currently attending high school, dancing competitively, and working to pursue a professional career in acting and dancing.

Taveeta Szymanowicz – Jazz, Contemporary, Modern

Taveeta Szymanowicz began dancing at the age of five and began competitive training at the age of nine. Taveeta recently moved to The Dance Zone where she trains intensively in a variety of styles.

She has attended and trained and competed at a number of workshops and conventions such as FRESH Dance Intensive, Coastal Dance Rage, Jump, NUVO, VIP, and Artists Simply Human, where she has been awarded many scholarships and titles. Taveeta currently works closely with the faculty of FRESH Dance Intensive as both an assistant and “Teacher In-Training”.

She is an honours senior student at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, where she trains in Modern and Ballet everyday.

Most recently, Taveeta has booked the lead role of “Thalia” on Family Channel’s Season Two of “The Next Step” which premiered in March 2014, performed in the 2013 Toronto Fringe Festivals “PROJECT DABDA”, and was named Fever International Dance Champions 2013 “Face of Fever”.

Taveeta is currently the founder and artistic director of LIBERUM, an improv based dance company that explores different concepts, sensations, shapes, tempos, patterns, and emotions that result in the creation of individual movement.

Taveeta aspires to be an Actress, Choreographer and future company owner where she can share her passion and artistry for movement.

Zac Vran – All forms of Hip Hop, Break Dancing

Zac Vran is a Canadian actor and dancer born in Vancouver, British Columbia. He began performing at the age of 3 when he was inspired by the dynamics of dance. He has since trained and competed in all styles of dance including hip hop, contemporary, jazz, tap, modern, and ballet. With an affinity for urban movement and lifestyle, his focus naturally turned to the broad range of styles of hip hop. There, his background in competitive gymnastics, and his combination of fundamentals and flare has made him a recognizable young artist in the Canadian dance scene, and a member of the well known hip hop crew FRESHH.

At the age of 10, his musical theatre background landed him the role of Harry in Vancouver Playhouse’s musical Oliver. He was cast in the music video for country singer Dallas Smith’s “If It Get You Where You Wanna Go” and has opened for Carley Rae Jepsen, Mariana’s Trench, Hedley, and Victoria Duffield for We Day at Rogers Arena. Zac was also a lead dancer in the closing ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, performing alongside Canadian rapper K-OS. A defining moment in Zac’s dance career was when he and his dance crew FRESHH became the runners up on Canada’s Got Talent.

In 2013, Zac auditioned for the second season of Family Television’s series The Next Step and was cast as the series lead “Hunter” over hundreds of young males across Canada. He was brought back for season 3 which will debuted in March of 2015. When not on set, Zac teaches workshops, choreographs internationally, and performs at private and corporate events.  Always a student, Zac is currently training in parkour and dances at Harbour Dance, Studio 604, Praise Team and Fresh Groove.

Briar Nolet – Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz

At only 16 years old, Briar is recognized as one of the top female Contemporary dancers in North America.  She has earned several national and international titles, and in the summer of 2015 competed as a soloist at the prestigious American Dance Awards in New York City where she received 1st runner up.  Briar is known for her role as “Richelle”, a feisty and gifted dancer on the popular TV series The Next Step.  Recently she has been a part of the Beat Squad at Dancerpalooza in Los Angeles, and toured across Canada as a featured performer in Family Channel’s Big Ticket Summer Concert.

Myles Erlick – Contemporary, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz

Myles Erlick is a multi-talented and award-winning artist who has starred as the title role in Billy Elliot The Musical in Chicago, Toronto and on Broadway. Currently, Myles can be seen playing the role of “Noah” on the international hit tween TV series The Next Step. He is an accomplished classical dancer and has won numerous national level titles as competitive dancer.  He was a NYC finalist at the prestigious Youth American Grand Prix in 2015 and was featured in the pas de deux section of the Grand Defille performance at the Lincoln Centre.  As a musician, Myles is considered a Youtube sensation with millions of views and viral videos including one that landed him a featured performance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.  In the summer of 2015 Myles was proud to participate as a Beat Squad leader at the hugely popular Dancer Palooza in Long Beach, California and was one of five featured The Next Step cast members in Family Channel’s Nationwide Big Ticket Summer Concert Tour.
